My home XBOX feedback (why only 5 switches)

The number was increased from 3 a few years ago and 5 is more than enough. There's a limit to help avoid exploiting the feature. Ultimately, if you're using the Home setting the way it's supposed to, you shouldn't have to worry about reaching the limit at all.

The 1st profile ever signed into the console will automatically be assigned as My Home Xbox.

You will give a notification on screen on how many switches you have left with your My Home Xbox assignment.

You can only have 5 switches within a one-year period.

That’s a possibility, however to test it out we may need to set it again as Home Xbox but that will remove another 1 Home xbox switch of yours again which is not ideal since we can only have 5 home xbox switches per year.

But keep in mind that you are limited to only 5 switches a year.

once your eldest sets your youngest's Xbox as his Home there is no need for him to switch his Home Xbox as his subscriptions and games are linked to his account and he can play them on any Xbox without it being his Home console.

when he tries to set his younger brother's Xbox as his Home it will give an error saying all 5 switches have been used, there should be a Help button/option show up. if he clicks that he may be able to get another Home switch.

I would try to find out why the Home Xbox stops working on your youngest's Xbox.

is you eldest switching it back to his Xbox?
