My headset stopped working and broke on me

this was happening to me but after buying a different controller it stopped at least for about a month or two this is the third controller that broke for no reason and all of the headsets that I tried work including my brand new turtle beach so it is definitely
not the headsets and I've been through all the steps to fix it but nothing works. the problem is either the controllers or my xbox itself

Hi, we're experiencing the same problem. My son's headset (Turtle Beach) just stopped working sometime around November. We assume he broke his headset. We recently purchased 2 new ones and neither worked. We discovered after troubleshooting all headset
work on different devices, so this has something to do with the November update (old headset works fine). We've tried using the headsets on a number of different controllers and my son's friends are experiencing the same problem. We've tried all kinds of
trouble shooting including doing a soft reset of the console and completely changing his privacy setting. Any other thoughts on how to fix?

For me when my headset broke I used a set of earbuds with a mic (Not apple ones as they don't work). but they work as a good tempory replacement. Just make sure to keep the volume down as other people may hear their voices.

I wish more people could hear me at times... my brothr is rough with the controller/headset (especially when losing) and kinda broke the mouth piece stem so speaking/recording is difficult. Its quite frustrating when I have to stop and try and record or
type up a msg...
