My headset connects to sound but my mic doesn’t let me talk

Try Setting up a headset adapter. This helps if the 3.5mm socket
is faulty on the controller and also Update your controller firmware

Make sure to update every controller. The USB method is my preference and update again once you connect the adapter.

there maybe a fault with the mic or even the controller connection. try reconnecting the controller and checking all settings and party to see if mic is muted on the console.

Try clearing the console cache and syncing control again. Have you tried with other headphones to see if the same problem continues?

I had the same problem. My mic was to close to my headset speaker. A quick fix is mute your mic when you're not talking, when you want to talk mute sound coming out of the headset speaker while you talk then immediately unmute sound to hear answer and
the game.

I never got it to work on the 360.

Let me explain, I turn on the xbox and it has no sound, I can hear my self although not overly loudly, then I play a game and I defiantly can't hear myself. There is a my mic volume adjuster on my headset but even at max i really have to listen for it to
hear me with no sound.

I though it worked like I turn my mic up so loud if I talk I can hear myself and I would know not to talk so loud to not hear me, am i missing something?
