    My headphones are not recognized by my PC when plugged in the controller


    I just got a custom Xbox One controller and it works just fine on my laptop, but when I plug in the headphones the sound still come out of the laptop speakers and I can't change it. Please help

    the official wireless adapter for pc to use with the xbox one controller does allow audio.

    I just tried that and it seems that the problem is solved. Thank you. I'm kinda bummed that it doesn't work with bluetooth. Is an adaptor going to allow me to use the controller wirelessly or not?

    the controller has to be hardwired for audio to work as the xbox controller bluetooth does not allow audio passthrough.

    No, it doesn't work when I plug it into the console. It doesn't recognize it so it doesn't let me assign it to a profile.

    I heard that you could use both your headphones and microphone when streaming if you wire it to a PC. Without it, only my headphones work.
