My Gta 5 won’t update for some reason

So basically my gta needed an update but at the middle it said “ready to start” and so I updated it and it stopped right in the middle at 55% and would update any further. Has anyone had this problem?

Have you performed a power cycle?

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.

Yeah and a mission after that.

This seems to be an issue for both 360 and PS3 actually. Can read more about it here:

It works when I load another save but it's right at the beginning so it's not really an option for me. I guess we just need to wait and see if they will have an update for this in the near future.
