    My games keep freezing then it goes to the dashboard.


    My problem is after about 25-45 minutes of gaming my game freezes then goes straight to the dashboard. The two games that I have this problem the most with are Battlefield 2042 and SnowRunner but it also happens with sea of thieves, and Halo Infinite. I don't know if it's a game issue or my console. I've done everything I could find to try and fix this problem, it appears to work but after a day the problem comes back. (Also I think I should mention that I use the controller that came with the console, the power cable that came with the console, the HDMI cable that came with the console, the official xbox wireless headset, no external hard drive, and none of the USB ports are being used)

    Hello SilentSpectre48, try to follow the procecdures below.

    The first is a clear cache

    1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

    Xbox One reset keeping Games:

    Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

    Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

    Select Reset console.

    Restore and maintain my games and apps.

    Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

    Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

    I have done these steps and it doesn't help. I should have also mentioned that I'm on xbox series X and I've done everything from reseting to factory settings twice with keeping my games and once with deleting everything and nothing works. I'm beginning to think it's a overheating problem because it gets quite warm fairly quickly and I tried looking through the vents and I did see a bit of dust on what I believe is the heat sync and the main fan on top. I also hope it's not an account issue because I've had my account for nearly 8 years now I really don't want to start a new one. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    freezing issues

    Same here, freezing right after Xbox Live sign-in. If I disconnect my WiFi adapter, then it goes to the dashboard without freezing. I didn't try to play any games yet.

    While playing a game I might go to the Home screen using the Home button on the controller. The system goes to the Home screen and freezes. I cannot select the game or move around the dashboard, but I can hold
    the Home button and it goes to the "Console Off/Controller Off" screen, and then freezes on that screen. Hard resets will reset the dashboard, but it doesn't stop it from happening again. Once while playing a game, the game music continued playing, but the
