    My Games & Apps still crashes after recent Delta update


    I'm going to assume this issue is because of my large Rock Band 4 DLC library of 2,000 songs. As I was 1 of the people affected by the Rock Band 4 loading issue that got fixed with last public update.

    But ever since the Rock Band 4 loading issue was fixed by 1911 dashboard update; I have experienced an issue where anytime I try to load My Games & Apps or try to manage any game/app storage while connected to XBL it tries to load and after a few seconds crashes to a black screen where I get taken back to home screen of dashboard.

    When system is offline from the internet My Games & Apps and managing any storage works perfectly fine until I go back online where it crashes again. There are no error messages it just goes to black screen and long wait returns me to home screen.

    Another of my friends who also has a Rock Band 4 library of around 900 songs also has this issue but he is not part of insider program.

    And yes I have already used the report issue button on my xbox with this info.

    I am currently trying Delta ring. I will report here if it helps with crashing in late game.

    UPDATE:

    I was able to finish the game that was constantly crashing after updating to Delta ring release Xbox Insider Release Notes - Delta (2208.220715-2200) - Xbox Wire

    If Omega ring has same fixes, then hopefully everyone will get this fix soon.

    I will continue testing with Delta ring with all addons enabled (currently have extra civs disabled) with new game on huge map.

    I recently had an issue with a Microsoft/Xbox game crashing before loading into the game after a windows update. After reinstalling the game, uninstalling windows updates...it turned out to be that my date & time was not set to update automatically. Manual date=microsoft apps broken apparently.

    Hi can you please try quitting the youtube app before you start playing the game to see if this helps at all?

    Also I think this might be something the Xbox team are investigating as this is sitting in the known issues list for the Xbox Insider program.

    • If you are in the Youtube app and then Resume to a Game the app/game and console may hang or crash.
