    my gamertag was banned after 5 years for no reason and i have to pay 8 pounds to change it


    ive had my gamertag for 5 years and for some reason has just been banned and ive been give the worst name i could think of and to change it even to a default i have to pay 8 pounds this is unfair my original one was i kick ass789 and i choose that after
    the film kick ass as it was my favroute at the time i was 12 i just dont understand how its fair or right that i am to be charged to change my gamertag to something i like even if it is a default

    Banned 5 year old gamertag, now forced to pay for name change. Enforcement team = a joke

    If my gamertag was offensive you should have banned it when I made it 5 years ago in 2011.

    If my gamertag was offensive the second Rolf Harris got convicted in july 2014 you should have banned it then.

    To wait to 2016 and ban my gamertag for people offensive then have the audacity to say I have to pay out of my own pocket to change my gamertag, you won't even give me a free gamertag change.

    Disgusting.

    I also tried to changed my gamertag myself, but I have to pay ? After 8 years on xbox live, I'm pretty sure I should have a free gamertag change but nope , have to pay! This is all pretty unfair.

    That policy is per the code of conduct you agreed to. You can try submitting a case review at
    http://enforcement.xbox.com but it is highly unlikely it will be overturned.

    You have no way of knowing if the tag has been inactive for 8+ years.

    Like i said,gamertags are not just used on xbox live so just because a gamertag has no activity on xbox live does not mean it isn't being used somewhere else in the system.

    The 5 year rule started at the end of August 2016 so it hasn't quite been 5 years yet.
