    My GamerTag is unique, why do my friends see the numbers?


    I just created my GT, and when the option came up, there were no numbers and (since I've done this before) there was no wording to explain how my GT would appear in 2 different ways because it wasn't unique. I was successfully creating a unique GT. Now my
    friends see numbers, and we all have similar GT structure, they don't have numbers, my does.

    Based on the guidelines for XBOX, I should have a unique GT with no numbers, and this is not the case.

    Probably someone created the same name after and thats why now it shows numbers. :)

    Within the last 3 years, Xbox has released a bunch of unused Gamertags back out into the wild and enabled the ability for gamers to share the same one, with a slight difference: those numbers you see on your tag. Unfortunately they are there to stay unless
    the person who has the one without numbers changes theirs.

    I created it on the website. In your picture, I got a similar message, but there was no message about numbers and which platform supported what. It just said "Bojo Blojo", basically as I said, it was unique.
