    My current gamertag is linked to an EA account I created from my Xbox 360 13 years ago to play one of the early Battlefront games. My personal info and email address have since changed and I no longer have access to the email to confirm ownership. I now have a new EA account that I can manage but can't link it to my gamertag because of the old one. And EA and their "customer support" are unwilling (not unable, but unwilling) to assist. I can verify my Xbox account and current EA account but am unable to verify the old one so they refuse to delete or unlink it. Solutions?

    Really EA needs to improve a lot, unfortunately I'm sad that a company that size doesn't do such a simple thing, I'm happy to be able to help you, have a great day Woose.

    I believe so, I had a friend who has an EA account just to play Fifa online and he doesn't remember the password and nothing he can't log in, but just for him to log in with his Microsoft account, it connects automatically, and that's since Fifa 14, maybe you can do the same, so you can play the old games or games you don't want to use the new account. Because, to be quite honest, the EA account has no function except for us to play online.
    Thank you for getting back to me. Just to make sure I understand, I can make a new Xbox account and transfer my old one to it?

    It is unfortunately in this case that you will have to create another xbox account to be able to link it with your new EA account. It would be great if EA changed their policy, as it is quite difficult not to be able to unlink.

    Account linking happens on the other company's servers. You will need access to your EA account to unlink unfortunately.

    You cannot transfer, you can use your old account to access your EA account, only the old account.
