My game pass core is not working with my GTA five

Do you own the game or are you trying to play it through Game Pass?

Gta online won't work for me I bought game pass core and restarted my game but still not working so technically I wasted $30 on nothing

The Game Pass Core subscription will allow you to play online games, it does not need to be the Game Pass Ultimate.

I just looked at my storage and I have GTA downloaded twice. One on internal storage (86 gb) and another on my external storage (100 gb). That might be messing with it. Should I delete one? It doesn’t prompt me to update at all. I was using game pass core in 2021 but we never played together then. I’m using Xbox game pass ultimate at the moment. No clue why it wants me to buy the $50 digital copy of gta.

That could either be Game Pass Core or PC Game Pass. If it's Core, it won't work on PC.
