    My game is stuck in an endless download and i can't pause it nor cancel it, how do i fix it...


    I tried downloading aragami 2 and dead space, thinking it would cause trouble because one is on the EA app i paused aragami, when dead space finished downloading i got pack to aragami but the download was stuck at 0 m/s and when i tried to pause or cancel it it would just try it forever.

    I tried some things i found while searching online but nothing worked.
    Has anyone experienced this and if yes, how did you fix it ?

    I'm Nilay and I'll be glad to answer your query today.

    Please try the following steps:

    You may want to try doing a reset and clearing everything from the console.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    2. Select Settings.
    3. Select System.
    4. Select Console info
    5. Select Reset console.
    6. Select Reset and delete everything.

    If this does not help, try troubleshooting your network.

    Please Go to Settings:

    > Network
    > Network Settings
    > Advanced Settings.

    Select the alternate MAC address and then select delete/clear.

    You must restart the console for the change to take effect.

    And please do this:

    Set DNS manually. To manually configure DNS settings, follow the steps below:
    1.- Go to Settings
    2.- Select Network
    3.- Select Network Settings
    4.- Select Advanced network settings.
    5.- Go to DNS Servers, set it to Manual> enter 8.8.8.8 in the 'Primary' field and 8.8.4.4 in 'Secondary'.

    I have tried all of the above. Still having the issue. It is constantly stuck on 'checking for updates' and is unresponive to anything else. I still cant pause or cancel the downloads either nor can I launch already installed games.

    Hello, thank you for responding. I tried as per your advice installing through MS store app. Nothing occured after doing so.

    I then tried running the cmd prompt, and then reopened the xbox app and i am still stuck with Stardew Valley at 2% downloaded and not progressing nor can i cancel it. it claims to be checking for updates and yet not doing much of anything. so it seems i cant simply just reinstall it, there seems to be some type of error in the download of stardew valley itself. it is stuck at 2% and i cant resume, pause or cancel it.

    This is really a problem because i have lots of games i now cant play. lots of money wasted until this is fixed.
