This happened to me as well. Very unfair as we bought it fair and square from the deal - some kind of consumer protection law must protect us. Very bad taste in my mouth, Microsoft. Im not sure if I will be buying any more games from the PC store because you can just take them away without our permission.

It has nothing to do with banking, OP legally purchased the game at the lower price which is clearly microsoft's fault. Moreover the refunds weren't even made in the currency that users originally paid in regardless of the payment method used.
