    Hello,

    My games will not download. I got a new pc and bought the Xbox game pass to play halo. It does not work. I have tried everything and nothing works.

    What's even more frustrating is that I can download some games even if it is stuck on the queue, so it is completely random what games will work and what games will not work.

    For example, I downloaded gears of war 4, and I can play it, but on the Xbox game pass it shows up as still queued up. This app is so inconsistent and is very frustrating.

    I'm on Windows 11 and my Microsoft store and Xbox game pass app are up to date.

    I have tried repair/reset.



    I have tried clearing my Microsoft Store cache and Xbox game pass cache.

    I have tried PowerShell.

    Nothing works. I have researched and look at different articles and it seems like a lot of people are having the same exact issue, yet nothing is done. If anyone has any new ideas to try, please let me know.

    Xbox App on Windows 11 doesn't install anything.

    In solution 2, i couldnt reinstall Gaming Services. It was stuck on Pending. And when i tried to install a game on Xbox Game Pass, it either shows me the Gaming Services popup or the button never appears because its stuck on "Preparing..."

    Update: got some progress. Download started but its at 0bytes/second. It doesnt progress

    I can download games that are not connected with xbox game pass the ones that are connected with xbox game pass is just saying pending.

    Kindly try to reinstall the Gaming Services app on your Windows 10/11 device:

    Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.

    In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

    In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

    Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

    Restart your device and try to install the game again.

    Please take your time and let me know if it works.

    Thank you for your response.

    It seems you have exhausted all the troubleshooting steps. I have recently resolved a similar case like this. The gamer had decided to reformat the C: drive where the Windows was installed then downloaded the Xbox app and the Xbox game pass worked perfectly.

    Kindly try to do the same but before you proceed with the reformat, please make sure to back up your files.
