my game does not work

my Xbox is modified and i need to install the latest official firmware in order to play it.

and i have no idea ho to do that... could someone please help me?

Sounds strange – particularly if other games work and the game in questions works on a friend’s machine…

Have you tried cleaning the disc?

Process of elimination it could be worth taking the game back to EB and explaining the problem – you should have 28 days to exchange without question and If this second copy does not work at least you will know its probably console related.

Ok, so I've tried everything suggested, nothing worked. So I got a brand new copy........ Still doesn't work, so im going to make the assumption that it's something wrong with the xbox, hopefully when I get a new one it will last longer than a month. Thanks

Did you check your first copy of Far Cry 3 for any scratches or anything that can damage the disk?

Yes I checked the first copy and the second copy, on top of the fact that both were brand new and unopened. And by get a new one, I mean get the xbox replaced. (thank god I have warranty till 2014)
