my game bar didnt save the full time of my recording

Hi there samehmalhobimalhobi welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. Unfortunately we cannot recover unrecorded clips but I suggest trying the following to avoid further issues:

Can I extend the playback feature (Replay feature) of the Xbox Game Bar from 10 minutes to 1 hour?

I assume by the 'playback feature' you mean the record time? The Windows Game Bar maximum record time that can be set is 4hrs. This can be changed in Windows Settings > Gaming > Captures.

The Windows Game-Bar uses a video recording codec that requires the file to be finalised in order for it to be saved. This means that either if the recording is stopped via the Game Bar or the recording ends on its own once the maximum time is reached, the file should save. If for some reason there a fault or a system crash, the video recording won't save as it won't complete the 'finalising' process.

    Clips aren't showing up/sometimes corrupted.

    Hello ,

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your Windows 10 computer is not saving clips, and the files that are being saved do not show your gameplay. Are you able to

    record game clips
by pressing the windows logo key+Alt+R? The article we provided contains instructions on how to record game clips. It also explains that for some PC games, Game Bar won't appear full screen. If this article does not resolve the issue,
    we have another article for
    troubleshooting Game Bar
on Windows 10. Be sure to let us know the results!
Thanks for the tip. This command does work, and it is saved every time. However, this starts and stops recording, which I will use. But I would also like if I was able to clip the last 30 seconds (my command is ctrl+alt+g), this is the one that isn't working
    properly.

Where is temporary footage from Game Bar captures stored?

Hello, I'm Felipe and I'm an independent Community Expert, and I'll do my best to help you.

The temporary data for background recordings in the Windows Game Bar is stored in the RAM of your computer and is not saved to disk. It is stored as a buffer in the memory, and the video is not saved to disk until you explicitly choose to save it by pressing Win + Alt + G and selecting "Save".

Once you choose to save the recording, it is saved to a folder of your choice on your local disk. By default, the saved recordings are stored in the "Videos" folder in your "Documents" directory. You can change the default save location for the recordings by going to the Windows Game Bar settings and modifying the "Recorded videos" option.
