It might be possible he purchased that game on a different account because your friends account also says that he doesnt own it so i think he bought it on a different account

im sorry for any kind of confusion ive caused but my cousin just bought minecraft with his microsoft account and when he lauches minecraft it is in demo although he has paid and when he goes to the minecraft official site it doesnt look like he has purchased minecraft

...He's playing on Minecraft. He does not need to sing in to play this. I suppose you mean log in and out from Microsoft account? Because if he's not logged in Microsoft account he still can play...

There should be an option to sign into his Microsoft Account in the Minecraft Game.

Without being signed in on his Microsoft Account in Minecraft, the game can't apply the online and privacy settings you set up in order to allow him to play online.

If he's only playing locally on his own device, he can play without a Microsoft Account. But in order to play online on Realms or Servers, he needs to be signed in on this very device in the Minecraft Game.

Is your nephew playing on their own Microsoft Account, and is he signed in on his own account when he joins your game? Or is he signed in as a guest together with your account? Guest accounts don't get their progress saved.

When he built a bed, and slept in it, does he spawn next to his bed when he signs into your game world?
