My friends list disappeared no online friends showing up

Multiple people are reporting the same issue, so it seems to be an Xbox server issue. You can report the issue at http://xbox.com/status

All my friends have disappeared on my friends list.

I have the same issue. There literally is nothing we can do about it. It’s a bug and I’ve tried everything to fix it and even reset to factory settings on Xbox series X. I’ve even logged into my alternate account on same Xbox and my friends list worked on that but not on my primary.

Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple contacts in regards to the same issue, however, there are no official announcements from Microsoft so we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

We may need to perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

" 1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state."
