My friends can only sometimes hear me in voice parties.

I have been using the xbox game bar on windows 11 for quite some time now, but recently when I join a party with my friends they have been telling me my audio cuts off at random (Usually 10 seconds to a minute). I can hear my friends perfectly fine, and the game bar shows that im talking when they say they cant hear me. The game bar also shows a yellow exclamation mark with no further info.

Try resetting the Xbox Game Bar to its default settings.

To do this, follow these steps:

Open the Xbox Game Bar by pressing the Windows key + G.

Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) on the right side of the screen.

Click on the General tab.

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Reset button.

Restart your computer and check if the issue has been resolved.

Question, I can hear the game audio, but I cant change the chat volume, yet I can still hear my friends in party's and game chat. The only way I can change how loud there voice is to change the game volume on my X12. I tried going to preferences and voice,
but when I switch to play through headset, I don't hear my friends. Is there anyway I can change my friends voice volume? Because chat volume doesn't work on game chat and party chat.

How have you got your headset connected?

I ask because as there are separate volume controls for chat and game sound you should not encounter this problem.

I'm also a fan of party chat, but sometimes venturing out when the in-game lobby is blowing up is entertaining. I used to have my voice and communications set to friends only also.

I am having the same issue. I can see the green round dot in party going thick, so I know my mic is working. I can hear the game with my Turtle Beach. But my friends cant hear my voice, and I cant hear there voices even though I am in the party and can see
their circles getting thick when they speak. Knowing the issues with Xbox live and Party Chat I am sure its MS fault!
