My friends aren't receiving my party invitations

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Please perform an extended power cycle on your end and then reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

After that try to invite any of your friends again.

It's difficult to say where the issue is as the whole party invite system has been glitchy for the past week...I have my PC and Xbox on and sometimes the invite will come through on my PC but not my Xbox...sometimes it is just delayed and sometimes it works fine

That may indicate you have a setting enabled to only receive invites from friends. I suggest navigating to 'All settings' from the Xbox One guide, scroll down to 'Account' and select 'Privacy & online safety'. From there, I recommend running through each
of the settings to make sure everything is set up appropriately.
