My friend that I game share with bought a game and I can’t install it

With regards to your issue, did he set your console as his Home Xbox already? If so, the game should be shared to you if it is already set.

However, for downloads he needs to be the one to download the game using his account. Once downloaded, you can then play it without him having to sign in since the license is being shared to you via Home Xbox feature. Just have him install it first since he is the owner of the game, then that way the license of the game will be shared. It just says buy the game doesn’t say install but I think I found the problem I was game sharing with my brother and when I got the Xbox series x He said I can’t game share him cause he said that I can’t game share him because he got the Xbox one

As far as i am aware you can’t gameshare on pc unless you are the one who bought the game but if it was your brother he can’t share the game to you on pc.

I’m sorry to say but I still can’t play my game.

It still says and I quote “The person who bought this needs to sign in.

Sign in with the account that bought the game or installed the app.”

I cannot access games that I have bought but I can access games that my friend bought through game sharing. microsoft needs to fix this ASAP.
