If it says the code is already activated then it does mean that it has been redeemed already. You can ask your friend if they can talk to the merchant from where they bought the code, or try contacting support at https://support.microsoft.com

Just to clarify, did you purchase a 3 month Xbox Live Gold membership through the dashboard offer on your console? Or did you redeem a pre-paid code? In order for you to qualify for this offer you would have needed to purchase an Xbox Live Gold membership
through the promotion on your console. Redeeming a pre-paid code will not qualify for this promotion.

It looks like only the 3 months that I paid for with the code they send me for the 3 months., They code they said they would send in like 10 business days never manifested.
