my friend lost all his switches for no reason

Unfortunatly you will not be able to transfer your home xbox switches between accounts.

You have 5 switches per 12 month cycle. Once they have been used you have to wait until the 1st switch has reached 1 year before you will be able to change your home xbox again.

Unfortunately it is not possible.

The only way for a switch to happen is for someone to sign into his account on a different xbox then what is currently the home xbox and make that xbox the home xbox.

If you are on your current home xbox and tell it to not have this as my home xbox anymore then before making a different xbox your home xbox decide to make that one your home xbox again it will not count as a switch.

There is a survey that your friend can take when the box comes up saying that he has used up all of his switches there is a link he can click on and take the survey to see if he would be eligible for them to give him another switch.

Your friend may want to change his password on his account to make sure that no one else has access to his account where they can sign in and make their xbox his profiles home xbox.

Once he changes his password it will require the new password to be entered whenever someone tries to sign in again with the account that hasnt already signed in with the new password.

The OP did state he is switching consoles due to his friends making the move too. He also stated that he has no complaints towards Xbox. If the OP does make the move to PS4 then I hope he enjoys his time over there and the same for his buddies. I'm not bitter
towards anybody switching consoles. I just find some of the reasons for people switching ridiculous, however this reason isn't ridiculous at all.
