My friend cant change his password

Hello! My friend cant change his password, which is also why im writing this, he cant log in to his microsoft account or anything that microsoft owns (xbox, minecraft, etc) so im helping him, every time he, or i, try to change his password it says "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later." its been like that for a week, maybe more, it would be really nice to get this sorted as quick as possible, we've already tried a bunch of options like using a different browser, different internet and stuff, so help is very appreciated!!

yeah, and when he does, it says "There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later." and it has said that for the past 7 days

its not an xbox problem, its a microsoft problem, the problem isnt that MY FRIEND (not me) cant log in to xbox, its that he cant log in to anything microsoft which is a very big problem since everything practical is owned by microsoft, he needs help changing his microsoft password, not xbox password
