To answer your question, if you didn’t already redeem the code yourself, then you will need to ask if someone might have redeemed this code to their account, like asking if your household have redeemed it. If this was redeemed to an account this cannot be transferred.

To check your account, please see if you have redeemed if already - check your game collection to see if the game is already installed under My games & apps > See all.

You can also review your game collection from the Xbox app:

1. Sign in to the Xbox app on your Windows or mobile device.
   
2. Select the My Library tab > Games.
   
3. Look for the game that you’re trying to redeem in your collection.
   

If the game is already part of your collection, you may already own this content either through an Xbox subscription perk or previous purchase.

I brought a gift a gift card in family dollar and there's was no sign of the code I went back to the store to talk to them they told me they can't help I need my money help me pls

My point is I went to redeem the code on the xbox and it told me to redeem it on the website. So I went to redeem it on the website and it told me to redeem it on the Xbox. When my friend gave me his spare code his worked immediately.

Sorry your friend is having issuues redeeming your code. Do you live in Brazil? If not, you cannot gift a code/game to another region. The code will only work in the region you brought it in.
