    Go to your order history page https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders and look for the item.

    Select View gift code.

    If the code was redeemed, check the name it was sent to.

    If the code is still active, select View gift code and then Copy it and send to your friend.

    How do you pre-order digital game copies?

    Also gifting digital games is a MUST needed option...if i want to buy 4 digital copies and give them out to 4 friends then I should be able to..or if I hate a digital game and there ISNT a needed trade in/resell button then its MY right to be able to gift
    that same game(code and all) to a friend...why can we not have that option? Please tell me why I cant gift something I bought...love to read you defend corporate anti-consumerism more.

    Unfortunately, it is not possible to gift a subscription. However, you can purchase a digital code for an Xbox Gift Card from the Microsoft Store website. The website allows you to adjust the amount of money that you want to put on the code. Fill up the gift card with the amount of money required to buy the subscription. You will receive the prepaid code by email so you can give the code to your friend, have your friend redeem the gift card and purchase the subscription with the currency. Keep in mind, this process does not work if you and your friend are from different countries.
