    i tried getting a new code through xbox support and i waited 24 hours and i just recivied the message . i was wondering how i'd go about that. and get a new code for my region. or even a refund for my freind who gave the gift.

    You or your friend would have to look that up and find a site they can make the purchase from that will work in your region.

    Your friend would need to submit a refund request. If he still wants to send you the gift he would need to purchase it from another site that would sell a code for your region.

    He gifted it to me and he is from the UK and if keeps saying that i cannot download it bc its outside of this region.
    Gifting is region specific and the user is warned about this at the time of purchase. Sadly you won't be able to redeem the code on your account. You should get your friend to request a refund for the item.

    There isnt a way that wouldn't end up breaking the rules. Your dad will need to get a refund for the card from wherever he bought it and would need to get a code meant specifically for your region.
