My followers are stuck

I had this problem in Markarth while doing the quest to steal Ogmund's amulet of Talos. I told my follower, Teldryn Sero, to wait outside for me while I unlocked and entered Ogmund's house. Teldryn Sero appeared in the house, though, and got stuck telling
me "You're not supposed to be in here!" I tried hurting him and shouting at him but the only solution was to just leave him there until he left my service automatically (after quite a long time). I go back to the Retching Netch and there he is. He even still
has the loot I gave him.

I am pretty sure after leaving a follower to wait too long for you, they will return back to their place of origin.

If you told her to wait and the room she is in was from a quest then she is probably stuck there for good. My advice would be to revert to an earlier save to avoid the situation. You could also wait awhile and she will eventually just give up and head
home. I have read around that followers will leave your side when you tell them to wait if you have them wait for a lengthy period of time.

If you want to revert to a previous save then do that. If you're patient enough then you can go about your normal business and wait for the dialogue in the upper left hand corner, I think not 100% sure, that lets you know the follower got bored and went
home or whatever it says. Hope this helps

I had this same thing happen to me yesterday. I have lydia and I read somewhere that they built here to not like trespassing.

I was on a thieves guild quest and entered "Calcelmo's Mueseum". Apparently even though I had a key to the place it was still trespassing. Needless to say I entered & lydia followed . As I tried to exit with her , talk to her or enter her command mode she
just kept telling me " your not supposed to be in here". Damn that got annoying. Lydia was carrying soo much of my stuff it would be like starting over if I lost her.

So to get her out I tried shouting, pickpocketing her , waiting a few days and she might be out side or at my home and nothing worked. I slept on it for a few days instead of starting again from a previous save and wasting far more hours than I would like
to. Here's what I did...

(I would recommend saving right before you do this just I case u kill her)

I went back into the Room and started fighting her. She fought back haha. Just bring her health down fairly low and she will retreat and neal down because she is almost dead. Usually around that point she will leave your service , exit. The area she is trassing
in and then you just have to find her and ask her to follow you again. The best part is when I found her and asked her to follow me again, she had all the items I had asked her to carry still !!!
