    My Family accounts (outlook) created for Xbox series X gamer profiles all stopped working...


    I created Family accounts so my family members could have their own gamertags and profiles on the XBOX Series X. Everything has been working great for a few months. Overnight one of the accounts stopped working and will not login when switching to this account the system is prompting for an outlook password. Which when entered (properly) will not work. The second profile worked fine until I switched away and switched back. Now it will no longer function and will not accept the (again proper) password.

    Both accounts are visible in the family portal.

    I have rebooted the console. Logged off and back in with the master account without issue. However the other profiles will not switch and I am prompted to enter the passwords which are not being accepted.

    I am going to try and remove / re-add these accounts.

    Any suggestions would be great. This is incredibly frustrating.

    Xbox 360 offline accounts to be associated with Microsoft emails/accounts!

    SOLUTION

    Just found the easiest way to solve this.

    - I created 2 new Microsoft emails (outlook or hotmail) for my sons and i stated that they are adults so to save all the difficulties with Parental Control.

    - then went to XBOX360 and created a live account and gamertag for each one linking it with the above created emails

    - i visited xbox.com and changed carefully the gamertag name for each one

    - i added the 2 new profiles to my new xbox series s

    - i sent a family invitation to each of the new emails to be added to my Microsoft Family

    I have again all accounts at my new xbox signed in and live...

    She has a Microsoft account, Outlook, Office and Skype all other services connect to Microsoft Email Address but can't remove an { (a) Xbox live profile auto created and never used. Until profile (a) } is removed she will continue to be unable to move
    her profile created in the family plan onto her Microsoft account.

    It actually would. There's an Xbox One, One S, and One X that are all in the same family. Then there is the Series S and Series X that are in a completely different family of consoles.

    An Xbox One X is not the same as a Series X. The game will not work on an One X.

    Multiple XBox Live Free Member Accounts

    Hi there,

    you can create a new account by signing out via the Guide button on the controller and pressing 'X' after that press 'X' again to sign in, or select 'create new profile' this will create another profile.

    Just keep in mind that every gamer profile needs to be connected to a different Microsoft account (or create an 'offline' account which doesn't connect to Xbox Live.)
