My epic games account has a different security email than my actual email

We can only link one Microsoft Account to one Epic Account.

We can't check this on the Xbox platform, it is done on the Epic webpage.

Did you create an Epic Login? You can try to sign in with that authentication method and then re-link your Microsoft Account.

Please, enter Epic website: epicgames.com/account/connected

Go to Your Name > Account > Connections > Accounts

If you still can't link your Microsoft account, you will need to open a support ticket with Epic support.

I would like to inform you that when using an email to create a Microsoft Account it can
only be used once. Unless it's added as security information but this will only be for security purposes.

With this being said it's more than likely that the main epic account he has may be linked with his previous Gamer tag which more than likely would be associated to a
different email information.

I would suggest for you to double check with him if when creating his account (the primary one) if different information was used.

I have an email from Microsoft when I entered the code from the package he bought on Amazon into my Microsoft account. I'm not sure how this would even get uploaded to fortnite unless I link accounts or upload it into his Epic account.

My email for Microsoft is different than his logins for epic. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Yes, you can change your Epic Games account email.

- Log in to your Epic Games account and then go to the Account portal.

- In the ACCOUNT INFO section, click the Edit button to the right of your email address.

- In the pop-up window, enter your new email address and then click CONFIRM.

- When you click CONFIRM, an automated email with a security code is sent to the current email on the account, and an Enter Security Code window will appear. Don't close this window.

- In the current email on your Epic Games account, find the email with the security code, and enter the code into the pop-up window. Note: The email title will be “Your Security Code.” If you can’t find this email, check your spam folders.

- Click CONTINUE.

- An automated email with a verification link is sent to the new email address on the account, and a Please Verify Your Email Address pop-up window will appear.

- In your new email inbox, find the verification email and click VERIFY YOUR EMAIL. Note: The email title will be “Please Confirm Your Email Address.” If you can’t find this email, check your spam folders.

- You successfully changed your email!

Hello Tytytuxedo153, on your console you log in with your Microsoft account and play Fortnite normally, but when you log in on the PC you have to log in with the email that opened an account at Epic Games.

If you used the same Microsoft email on Epic, you won't have any problems, but if you used a different email to create your Epic account, you'll need to know what that email is.
