My eliter Series 2 will not manually connect to PC.

I bought an elite series 2 for the intended use to play PC games. Whenever I try to connect it manually via USB it is not recognized. I can conect it via bluetooth, but then the wired mic does not work and some games do not recognize the controller (such as fortnite). I was able to connect the device manually to an xbox one to update the firmware and configure it, but I cannot do the same using the xbox accessories application.

Thank you for the reply, when plugged in the controller does not show up in "xbox peripherals". It does not matter which USB port I use or what USB cable I use. If I plug in a razor wolverine controller that will show up in the peripherals but not my Elite series 2.

Hope you are well. I'll be glad to help you, just remember that you're not talking to a Microsoft employee.

I am sorry you are going through problems with your controller.

Connect the controller via USB cable, when you have it, look in your computer "Device Manager", there select "Xbox Peripherals" and then select "Update Driver".

After this you look in the same device manager window for "Bluetooth", right click and select update driver.

After this you disconnect the controller and try to connect it via USB again.

If this does not work, go back to the device manager, search for the controller and uninstall the drivers.

Restart the PC and connect it again.

Not that I can see, not physically at least. It does appear in the bluetooth session but only when connected via that. When I plug it in the controller vibrates to let me know it is charging so I am also sure it is plugged in.

Having similar Issues. My Elite series 2 controller works fine for about an hour or so, then will disconnect. Half the time it will auto reconnect after 2 or 3 seconds, the other half it will not reconnect at all and I have to manually turn off the controller
and turn it back on for it to reconnect. Each time it does disconnect the frame rate of the game plummets for a few seconds. Then after some time passes, roughly an hour give or take, the issue will repeat for the entire gaming session.

My windows 10 is up to date as of this posting at build 1909 and my Elite series 2 controller is updated as well.

The support article for troubleshooting bluetooth issues on windows 10 does not help with the issue.

I have never connected the Elite series 2 controller to my Xbox One S, I bought it solely for PC gaming.

Forgot to mention, I am connecting via bluetooth. I do not have a wireless adapter nor do I want to connect using a usb cable.
