My elite series two controller won’t turn on

My elite series two controller won’t turn on without a power cable attached, I tried troubleshooting but it turns back on immediately because of the cable I think, I tried timing it as well but it still didn’t work, I also tried updating it and still doesn’t work help please

Seems like you have performed all the necessary steps. The update should fix the issue but if not, we may need to create an order for the controller to be sent to Microsoft.

To do so, please sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and from there add the controller as a device using its serial number then click on "Info & Support" to start an order.

elite series 2 controllers back paddles won’t work

My console is the Xbox series X. My controller stopped working last night while I was playing a game and it said reconnect controller but it was still on. I’ve tried holding the pairing button but nothing happened. I’ve tried taking it out of range of my Xbox to see if it would shut off. I’ve tried restarting and unplugging my Xbox. But my elite controller still has the light on and won’t do anything. Even the button to change paddle presets isn’t turning those lights on.

Turns out, the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller needed to be replaced.

FIXED! If anyone has a problem like this all you have to do is wait till it dies it’ll work again

Edit: ofc you have to charge it again and it’ll work
