    My EA games are requiring me to select an Xbox game Pass plan to play online.


    Hi, I have an Xbox Series X, and for some reason, every time I try to play one of my EA games (Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battlefield 5, etc.) the game pops up a menu for me to select an Xbox game pass plan. I own the games on disk and the disk is working with no damage. It’s just any time I try to go online it pops up the menu to select a plan, and if I don’t the game will keep me offline. Any helps is appreciated.

    Just for troubleshooting:

    I have the discs in, and I can guarantee the disks work. I am connected to the internet and other games like Overwatch 2 play fine. I have tried power cycling the Xbox and every variation of that. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the games to no avail.

    Game Pass Core or Ultimate (which includes Core) is required to play online in most games. Only free-to-play games can be played without a subscription.

    I own the games on disc, so I do not need game pass to play them. All you need is an Xbox Live Gold subscription, which I have.

    You all know that ALL EA games that have a online pass does not require you to be Gold to play online. The pass will allow all users to play online even if your silver :)

    @DEATH LIVE BR - You no longer need online passes for EA Online games. EA has discontinued these online passes and they are now available for free if the game requires one at launch.
