    Having problems with lots of newer games on older 360

    Christmas was good for the kids. Got GTAV .. after 2 disk swaps from fred myer never successfully installed. Traded it for store credit and got Assasins creed Black Flag. Disk 2 worked great, but dont want to play online, disk 1 was unrecognizable, never
    finished install. Got Battlefield 4, installed clean no problem. Patched defiance for 2 hours ran great. opened minecraft and played no problem. Tried to load Black ops ghosts, no luck. So I have to ask, I do not think it is my xbox. GTAV, BLACK OPS GHOSTS,
    ASSASINS CREED BLACK FLAG all no go on install. Minecraft, battlefield 4 defiance no problem. Thats over $180 in games that wont install. Is there a problem with the older 360's and these games?

    Having problems with lots of newer games on older 360

    I have an Xbox 360-s with 320gb HDD.

    AC Black Flag ... Disk 2 works great, can play tutoial no prob. Disk 1 ( install disk) unrecognizable.

    Black ops ghosts ... Disk 1 works great. Can play local and online. Disk 2 ( install disk ) unrecognizable.

    GTAV 2 sets of disks, install never made it to disk 2.

    Diablo also un-recognizable.

    All disks are pristine.

    Battlefield 4 loaded no problem along with a few other titles. Have a hard time believing it is a bad opticle drive. reads lots of disks no problems. Just not install disks on a lot of newer titles.

    It installs the disk is clean, shiny and the installation is 40gb and it stops at 13.97gb, 34.6%. Also I can go in the game but it just says installing 2% . but its only this game that does this.

    I'm having the same problem, but at the beginning of the Trevor missions. I only have disk one installed and I have tried reinstall/clearing cache/ rebooting after install and so on, I've had the disk's replaced twice and I even bought a new hard drive/
    tried installing to USB flash 18Gb... Nothing works.

    My Xbox plays everything else fine by the way and I'm having no other problems, I've been through GTAV forums and people are talking about it being an Xbox update???

    Its the game that restarts to title screen tho, the Xbox doesn't actually freeze, my Xbox is fine during the process.

    Really want to carry on playing GTAV, getting really annoyed! :(

    Hello Zenkoto,

    The disk for season pass is separate from the first episode? If this is the case the disk could be bad. You can try installing on another console see if it does the same thing. Also in storage make sure there is enough room for the episodes. You can try
    the steps
    here     for installation stopping even though it isn't even starting.

    Do the Graphics Still Look Horrible After Installing Texture Pack?

    So it seems that if you installed the game disk before you installed the Texture Pack, it messes up. I uninstalled the texture pack and uninstalled the multiplayer disk. I then installed the texture pack and then installed the disk. While installing the
    texture pack, there were no hiccups. The download did not stop, it flawlessly downloaded. I then installed the multiplayer disk back on my system. It seems this fixed the problem.
