You could try removing it. Then go offline and installing it again from the disc. Go back online and see if it needs updates. Lot of times it tries to update in the middle of installing and stops installation.

If you're installing from a disc the game is probably trying to install updates at the same time. Please try installing while offline. When the install completes then you can go back online to download the updates for the game.

please try the following in the exact order.

- First check if there is enough space available on the console/storage device.

- Cancel the current installation of the disc

- Go offline in the settings

- Power cycle the console, so it's fully powered down (for example by holding the power button for at least 10 seconds until the console poweres down)

- Wait at least 30 seconds

- Disconnect the console from power for at least 1 minute

- Reconnect power and power the console on again

- The console should still be set as offline

- Try to install the disc again.

If this fails and you have another game on disc, please try to install that to see if that works. If that does work then it could be disc related, if possible try to see if that disc can be installed on a different console to determine if it's indeed the disc that is causing the issues.

Well no you would.need to. install the game and do the day 1 update online it's going to.take hours if it's like a sports game or cod

Most.games don't fit on disk unless you are talking about a xbox 360 game or older

You havent been able to install any game offline since the current generation most of them need day 1 patches in the case of cod games the disk is just a place holder to pull down the install files

Are you talking about.a bc title or a pc title

If Xbox one or higher even ps4 etc you need to be connected to the internet

If it hasn't moved after a couple hours then worry

When you download a game or patches it has a running mbps

We recommend being that it is a Disc install, is to install it offline. Go to the my games and apps uninstall the game. Then go to settings>network>network settings>go offline. Power cycle the console, once back on then put the disc in and try and install
it. This will install the game faster also will install it without doing the update at the same time. Once the game is done installing then go back online start the game and it will update.
