My disc copy of diablo 4 isn't installing

I recently bought a copy of diablo 4 for xbox one (the case says its the cross gen bundle with xbox one and series x and that it can be used on both consoles). I put the disc in and it 'begins' to install but doesn't download anything, just immediately says 'installation stopped' after a few seconds and sits at 0GB downloaded out of the 21GB. Any way to fix this?

I'm a Independent Advisor. I will be glad to help you.

Try to perform a cache clear with the following steps.

Remove your account from the console

1. Press and hold the Power button on the front of your Xbox until the console turns off.

2. Unplug the power cord from the back of your Xbox.

3. Wait a minute, and then plug the power cord back in.

4. Press the Power button on your Xbox to turn it back on.

5. Your cache should be clear at this point.

Log back in with the account.

If this does not work

Go to Settings>System>Console Information

And restart keeping your games.

Note that the console accounts will be removed, so you will need to have the email and password for each account to log back in.

Your progress, achievements, purchases and other data will remain intact, don't worry about that, you won't lose any data, the only thing you need to do is to log in again.

I tried both of the things that you said and neither of them seemed to work (the second option you suggested caused a further error which forced me to factory reset my whole xbox and remove all its data which was a pain). Is there anything else that I could try in order to fix this or should I simply get a refund for my game?

If you already tried a factory reset and it didn't work either, I would ask you to try other discs in the console, if others work properly, then the copy of Diablo might be defective and you would have to request a replacement from the retail store where you bought it.

We have tried 4 profiles with 4 controllers.

It is only eith Diablo 3. Disc or digital copy.

been installing from the disc and after 4 hours its only 3% this is ***, I took 18 hrs to install my digital copy of destiny, I hoped it would have been better with the disc copy of halo but Microsoft couldn't get its *** together after the destiny install
nightmare.
