My copy of Left 4 Dead 2 will not work on my Xbox One

I purchased a copy of left 4 dead 2 from a store and the disc appears to be in good condition however my Xbox one refuses to even acknowledge that it is even in the disc reader. This is not the case for any of my other games including the Xbox 360 games I have purchased there in the past.

Does anyone have any advice on how to counter this problem or if there is anything I’m missing?

The issue can be with the disc or the console disc reader itself. I would like to clarify, can you try inserting a different disc game to check if the console will read them?

Valve could have used this time to make Left 4 Dead 3 instead. And actually make some major changes for once. But all of this Left 4 Dead talk is bringing me back to zombie killing. Where did I put my Left 4 Dead 2 copy?

I ended up buying Batman Arkham Asylum, Civilization Revolution, Left 4 Dead 2 and Grid, I only spent around £10 to get the Microsoft points needed for them, could probably make that back by selling my physical copy of Left 4
Dead 2.
