My controller keeps stopping in mid of any game. My batteries are not even dead.

The controller may need an update.

If I may ask, are you on Xbox or PC?

Is this happening with all of your games or just for a specific game?

Have you tried using a different controller to check if it’s an issue with the device or the controller itself?

So far i have not experienced any issues with any of my controllers.

Other than batteries dying on me mid game.

[/quote]This ^^^^ I'd rather not end up having the battery die on me mid game, dead simple, which is why I still a wired controller to this very day. Even on PlayStation 3 my controller stays plugged in, the chatpad incuded.
As for Wii/WI U, (even my handhelds, 3DS, PS Vita stay on the charger except while gamingsince they're handhelds) my controllers stay on the chargers, granted that's probably not the ebst thing in ther world to do even when they're not in use, but how do I
know when the battery will die yet againsimply not've been used? Also, I don't need to sit any more than a few feet from my TV, large as it is, but flat panel, 42inch.

My old batteries also stopped working after sometime ago, they didn't exactly stopped, but their voltage were reduced with time, and they weren't capable of keeping the controller on.

Are you using regular batteries, rechargeable batteries or a charger (like a Nyko, Energizer, etc)?

The battery meter isn't accurate with many after market batteries and chargers. I have the Nyko and it is not even close to showing my true battery power so you may have a dead/low controller although it still shows a charge on the meter.

Or it may be the update. My controllers no longer turn on my Xbox. I have to start it at the box and then turn on the controller so there appears to be some issues with the recent update.
