    My controller is double scrolling and won't move left/right


    Just now, I logged onto my Xbox and something wasn't right. It was skipping over keys as I typed my password, was able to type it, then get to the home page.

    Now, I'm about to go scroll right to play a game, and it doesn't move left/right. Well it does actually, except it keeps going back to the leftmost part of it. Also, when I scroll down, it double scrolls.

    This was not just an issue with the joystick, but the d-pad as well. Both things were looking fine and normal earlier today. But now I don't know what to do. I can't normally scroll up-and-down and CANNOT move left-to-right.

    when i move my right stick a little bit it stops it for about 30 seconds, then it starts again, i also use my controller plugged in so i don’t know if that would change anything, the everything double moves when i use it, for instance, when i’m scrolling on youtube, it will skip a spot and move to the next

    Have you found a fix for this? Im having the same issue. My dashboard scrolls right and will not allow me to move left, up or down. Its not my controller, ive tried 4 different controllers. But the problem still exists. I even installed the xbox one remote
    to my phone and it still scrolled to the right and will not allow any other movements. Thats a sure thing that its not the controller. I have factory reset it keeping games and apps, and factory reset erasing everything but no luck.

    the right stick sometimes has a function in some apps. for example; the left stick might scroll the screen/page and the right stick might move the cursor around the screen/page, or the left stick is used to select items on the screen and the right stick

    Scroll left on your home screen till you get a side bar come up then scroll down to 'settings' and then down to 'display and sound' and move right to 'volume' select it and click 'chat mixer' or you could buy an adapter for your controller which has buttons
    to change each one separately. I hope this helped.
