My controller doesn't work

Hello Haitham, if you have a USB cable, try to follow the procedures bellow.

First remove the batteries from the controller and for 1 minute keep pressing all the buttons on the controller and moving the knobs.

After you're done, plug the USB cable controller into your console and turn it on.

Then clear the cache on the console and check if the control has any updates to be made.

1. Go to the Xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on the console for 10 seconds until it turns off

2. Wait 10 seconds until it turns off

3. Wait 1 minute with it off

4. Turn it back on

After the console restarts and I'm at the console start screen, put the batteries back in the controller, remove the USB cable and see if it back to normal.

Try it just like it says in this
link. I just tried it on an S8 and had no issue.

I came here to post the same issue. Right stick seems like it is sticking. Well a couple of weeks ago XBOX updated the look to the One. I noticed this happening to my controllers right after the update. I have two controllers and they are both doing the
same thing. Makes for playing a FPS interesting. I have talked to others about this in games and my family in another state and they are all complaining about this same issue

Microsoft please fix this issue that it seems a lot of us are having. We know it has something to do with your latest update so please it is now up to you to fox it. I had a new controller, never opened, that I hooked up and it is doing the same things.

connect your controller to an Android device. The article does state if you have any problems pairing or using your Xbox Wireless Controller with your Android device, consult your device’s manufacturer’s support website. The article also
has a section that provides assistance with connecting a controller to a mobile device. The article mentions that if your phone resources are being used for other activities, it may take up to 2 minutes for your phone to recognize and/or pair your controller
via Bluetooth. If you experience a delay, wait up to 2 minutes to see if this resolves the issue. Be sure to let us know the results!

You probably have a textbook case of stick drift, where the joystick is no longer properly centered due to wear/damage, and the controller is detecting non-zero input from wherever the stick is leaning in its "neutral" position.

If it's been less than 90 days since you've owned the controller, you should be covered with a warranty repair (schedule a repair here). Otherwise, your only remaining option is to replace
the controller.

A few games might have a "dead zone" option to desensitize the drift once increased. I remember Titanfall 2 having that option...
