    My console won't let me set up OneGuide


    I received my console back from repair, and I started going through the Live TV setup. I'm in the US. The Xbox detects my cable box signal, and is able to detect and control my TV just fine. However, it won't allow me to set up my provider and cable box.
    It just skips the step, and I end on a screen that says "Done" and "Welcome to OneGuide". Clicking Next goes to the Live TV app full screen. If I bring up the OneGuide, my only "channel" is labeled "HDMI". Again, the I can watch TV and control the TV perfectly
    with the Xbox.

    This all worked before sending it for repair (despite serious issues elsewhere).

    While chatting with Xbox support, I've gone through factory reset, clearing OneGuide, resetting TV settings, and checking the cables multiple times. I've verified that my region is set to United States. The console connects to Live fine and shows an Open
    NAT. The OneGuide settings just show a clear option and a data collection option. The console reports no updates are available, and the version number appears to be the latest.

    In addition to not having the screens to enter provider and cable box, I've noticed the "breadcrumb" on the top of my setup screens are different from the screens on the support site. On the support site, there are three bars for three steps. On mine, there
    are only two.

    I wonder if somehow my console is convinced OneGuide isn't supported, despite being set to US. Any ideas? I've had no luck with support, and they eventually said to just send it back in again. I just got it back! I've only had this console in my house for
    a couple of weeks.

    Oneguide won't change channels

    I have live tv set up on my Xbox One but the oneguide won't control my tv . How do I correct this issue ?

    And of course, after posting this I tried again (a day after my first attempts) and it worked. I was given the OneGuide setup screen. Why or how, I don't know.

    Sorry to hear that the channels are incorrect! Let's start by resetting your Xbox One consoles TV settings and set up OneGuide again. To do so, follow the steps below:

    • Press the Menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
    • In the Settings menu, select 'TV & OneGuide'.
    • Select 'Troubleshooting'.
    • Select Reset TV Settings.
    • From here you can set up your OneGuide again.
