My console won't connect to the Xbox servers

I had the same kind of problem too. Every time I start up my Xbox, it keeps telling me that I'm signed in to the console, but not Xbox Live. I have a good internet connection to the console but it won't let me connect (it keeps telling me that I have an
IP address or DNS server error whenever I test the connection) until I unplug and plug my modem and router back in. It's been going on for a past month.

Any reasons why this frequently happens every time? And what can I do so that this won't happen again?

My sentiments toward the Xbox One exactly. I'm on a rock solid FIOS connection, and don't plan on losing it any time soon, but should the scenario arise where I cannot connect my console to Xbox servers, I simply CANNOT accept the fact that my gaming console
is rendered useless. It is inexcusable.

I cannot say that I've given up all hope. Microsoft will need to win back my money at E3. Otherwise, I'll abandon all of my investment in the Xbox brand.

As many of the Xbox executives have stated, they've placed their bets on a console that's "connected" and "future proof". But this is one gamble that I won't be pushing my chips into.
