My console sounds weird

You shouldn't worry if the noise is weak and almost undetectable; this is quite normal and does not indicate any problem with your console. If you were playing a significant distance from the console and the sound was so loud that it was annoying, then things would be different.

My console does the same thing. When I turn it to power saving mode the whole system shuts down and the ticking noise stops. It's a very weird ticking sound and is def coming from the console.

I'd just like an official answer to why the console emits this weird ticking sound when in standby?

As weird as it sounds, try plugging your controller (with the headset plugged in) into your console, just like you're charging it. Then restart your console.

If that doesn't work, then unplug your controller from the console and try restarting your Xbox one last time.

It sounds weird, but it has fixed a very similar issue before for me.

This happened to me too. I´ve been playing Killer Instinct and then I turned off the console. After a couple of minutes I heard a weird sound, like a buzz or something, when you try to connect something to the power socket. I connect my console in a power
regulator but none of my consoles or even the power regulator itself do this weird sound. I guess this is not something good, but Im not sure. I want to know too.

Well i confirm you that wi-fi doesn't work if i turn on the console with external HD plugged.

It sounds weird.
