    My Console is experiencing many software errors, and none that I know how to fix.


    So recently, I saw my Xbox wasn’t performing as well as it did a couple weeks back. I decided to try an use the internet to fix this laggy unresponsive Xbox myself, and I did a full factory reset. Then the console turned itself on again, and I was met with the “Preparing Xbox” screen. It seems to stop “Preparing” at around 50-60%. When that happens, it brings me to a page (E203). I tried clicking on every single option within the menu and it just brings me back right to the same menu every time. So I decided to go to the internet again to see if anyone had the same issue, and someone on the internet showed how to do the Offline System Update, which I did fine with my computer. I did attempted the update, but it stays on 1%. After a while, it just turns itself off.

    I don’t really think this needs a repair, but if it does then of course I’d want to get it repaired or even replaced depending on the local price.

    Any solutions, I’m all ears. I’ve tried everything about 40 times now and I just don’t know what to do anymore.

    There’s no connections to the console itself. It’s a factory reset, meaning I don’t have access to the main Xbox Menu with settings or anything.

    Hello SP_493, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

    According to this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/errors/erro... you've tried all the steps listed to try and get the console working again. If they keep failing then you would need to repair the console.

    If your console is an older model (ie. Xbox One or Xbox One S) then you may want to check your local gaming store to see if they offer a repair service as your console may be out of warranty.

    If the console is in warranty and you'd like to check on getting repair you can set it up at https://account.microsoft.com/devices. Once set up and you have received your shipping label you can pack up the console. Please be sure to pack only the console and nothing else as Xbox does not guarantee that extra items such as cables and controllers will be returned.

    Disconnect the wired ethernet cable before attempting a Offline System update with OSU1.

    Error code E203 has more info.

    Yes I agree but just like many posts said this is a temporary fix. I think we all know how to get it to work but that's not the problem. It's a broken feature that needs to be fixed by software revisions.

    Hi. Thank you for replying.

    I have done many console resets and restarts and power cycles. None of them fixes my issue. I do not get the green boot animation. It is the white boot animation. The green boot animation is for the Xbox One which I do not have.

    If you read in my first response, you will see that my work colleague tried my account on his three consoles and on each console, customisation works fine. Customisation on my previous three consoles were ok so the console itself is the cause. More specifically, the software on the console. My second response states for one second, I can see the customisation options then they disappear.

    I can change the colour and gamer pic on the xbox website just fine. I do get an error code when trying to access the colour options on the Series X; 0x80a40408. I am happy to troubleshoot if that leads to a software download to fix my issue.
