I'm sorry this happened to you, and I completely understand that you are worried about the appearance of this new gamertag. It is possible that it was generated automatically, it is more likely that it was created during a previous session.

If you do not want to use this new gamertag, you can change it by following the steps recommended by Xbox support.

I am listed on my xbox as one gamertag, but when I try to log in on the computer it comes up with a generic gamertag. I can't change anything, and if I try to change the generic tag to my tag on the xbox, it tells me that name is already taken. Also, the
generic tag does not have any of the games that I play on it. I used to be able to log in with my old tag, but for some reason it has all changed.

I restarted my console this morning when I signed back in I didn’t read things correctly and used my email and password to sign in and then started with a new gamer tag with the same email as my old gamer tag.

Now when I sign in it’s my new gamer tag that pops up. I tried deleting the new tag off my console and resigning in but again the new gamer tag pops up.

There is no option to look for tags associated with the same email???

All my purchased games and game pass is associated with my old gamer tag. How do I get my old gamer tag back with this email and onto my console???

You had to have used a different email for the new account. Its simply not possible to have two accounts under the same exact email.

If you tried it would say the account already exists

Ok but when i was changing my gamer tag i havent known that the number that was generated is going to be displayed. I have wrote my gamer tag click view accessibility and then it said gamertag + numbers Is avelibe there was no message saying that my original
gamertag is taken. It have suggested me new one. Please make it more visible and maybe remove feature that gives new not taken nick name
