My code is deactivated?

As previously posted by @FreakRoach, it's the job of the third party vendor to activate the code when it is purchased. However, if they are unable to help you with this specific problem, you may want to contact
support with your code and proof of purchase.

When I entered the code got error message that code is deactivated

Was the code purchased from Microsoft store, or some other place. I will suggest to contact the support from where you purchased the code.

I purchased the card at Wal-Mart and they said to contact you

read the original post. The card was activated at the point of sale and I have the receipts to prove it. The card was deactivated at some point after that. The receipts were submitted to microsoft with the redeem claim.

Unfortunately Xbox/Microsoft can't do anything. If the code isn't activated, it is the retailer's problem. You won't get Xbox/Microsoft to give a refund or a new code, as they don't have proof you purchased it.
