My child can no longer access the game pass subscription I have for him.

I am the parent of a child. I had purchased a game pass subscription using my own Microsoft account, and then set him up to use it on his own gaming laptop. Despite the game pass still being a valid subscription, his laptop no longer recognises it, and won't allow us to games. How do I use the game pass subscription on my account (that I have no personal use for) on his laptop, with his account?

I think the server is down. - Lots of questions saying the same thing. I wish they'd put up an error message so we know for sure.

Thank you for this. I have made xbox B the home xbox and still the subscription is not there for xbox Live. Is this because it is a childs account? I do have the child under my account in a family account and want him to have access to this. How can I do that?

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with access to Minecraft. Is it possible the subscription you had and it expired was Ultimate game pass? As this subscription includes gold, and game pass. As Minecraft is on the game pass
subscription. Then when you renewed Xbox live gold, you no longer have game pass so unable to access the game. You can check subscriptions and see if the ultimate is there and when it expired.

You can cancel your subscription and just purchase the game to continue playing it. If you only cancel Game Pass, you will no longer have access to the game.

Thanks for the replies. I can confirm that my son IS able to use my gold subscription on the ONE. I had to further tweak his "child" privacy to allow him to play multiplayer games (Destiny), but once that was changed, it worked fine with no need to try to
access his gold subscription. Thanks again!
