  1. My cable tv service is not listed.

I live in Hawaii and we have 4 major cable tv providers. Time Warner cable, Directv, Dish Network, and Hawaiian Telcom. Of the 4 Hawaiian Telcom is the newest and not available in the OneGuide. I want to experience the FULL POWER of my xbox one. Alas,
I have it disconnected from my xbox and have to resort switching through the inputs on my HDMI. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

    :)

    Provider not listed

I am unable to set up my One guide due my cable provider is not listed. The list gives other cable providers but not mine. WoW! is not listed, but AT&T, Comcast, Dish Network, Direct TV and Antenna are. This is very frustrating.

  3. Cable boxes and HDMI Xbox One

Lets say my cable box does not have an HDMI output because I do not have HD TV service, but I do own a HD TV. Could I connect RCA/HDMI cable from said cable box to HDMI in Xbox one to allow me to get the TV aspects of Xbox One? My cable provider is Comcast.

Any direction in this would be helpful, thanks!

    Xbox gold boycott

So I assume you will also be boycotting cable TV service, magazines, public transportation, airports, US highways, the Internet as a whole, and the US postal service? (just to name a very small list).

    Live TV Issue

I;m happy to report that I upgraded my tv service, which included a new cable box and now my live TV feature works! The only problem is that the channel list is out of dated but I would guess it is some type of regional issue. So I'm happy it's finally
    working correctly.

    Crackling noise

There are a few things to help identify where the issue is, some might not work if you don't have the equipment, but it'll help find out where the problem actually is:

    Start with the cable:

    • Try a different cable with same device and same port on TV
    • Try that same cable to a different device, see if it displays
    Check port on TV:

    • Check that cable into a different port on the TV
    • Make sure the input and the port match for the TV
    Check the TV:

    • Can other devices connect and display on that port/input
    Check the device:

    • Does the device display on other displays? With different cables?

    Xbox one Cable Box?

Just to be clear about the question. You are saying Cablevision is your actual cable service provider and the division or affiliate of the company providing your local Cable TV service is Service Electric correct? Also that your cable box does have an HDMI
    out.

Let me answer the most important part first.

    1) If it has an HDMI out then yes it will work with the Xbox One which supports both SD and HD resolutions coming from a cable box. So you will be able to watch TV on the Xbox One unless there is something very unusual about your cable box.

    2) The Xbox OneGuide which has been demonstrated in recent press releases allows you to navigate TV Listings and change channels among other things for many US Cable TV Providers.

Xbox turning on, but screen won't show up.

Hello @[TrapCrystal]! I hope that you are doing well!

Thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community. A no signal message on your television may indicate that the HDMI may be the cause of the problem. We suggest first to check the following:

    • Confirm that both your TV and Xbox console are turned on.
    • Check that your TV is set to the correct input signal (HDMI).
    • Check that the HDMI cable connections to your console and to your TV are secure.
    • Check that the HDMI cable is connected to the "out to TV" port on the console.
    • Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.
    • Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.
    • Try connecting your console to a different TV.
    • Power cycle your Xbox : Press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console, and then turn it on again.
Please give this troubleshooting a try and see if the issue is fixed just to make sure that it's not a hardware issue. However, if the issue persists, it can be a hardware therefore the console needs to be serviced.
