My bethesda account is having troubles linking to my xbox account.

So, i am attempting to be able to download mods from the bethesda account onto my xbox skyrim account. It says its already linked on xbox but its not as the mods do not show, on the bethesda account, it says that there is no account linked and when i try to link an xbox account it says it failed. as a test i trialled an epic games account and it works fine, does anyone know why this is? and how to fix it?

From what you described, it sounds like your Xbox is showing your Bethesda account as linked, but on the Bethesda.net website, it's not showing any linked Xbox account, and you're unable to re-link it manually. This can happen when the Xbox account was previously linked to a different Bethesda account. Have you ever used a different Bethesda account before? Sometimes Xbox gets linked to an old account without realizing it.

This error message appears when you try to use a Bethesda account on a Xbox account different than the one linked previously, you need to confirm in Bethesda. Net that the account its really linked to that Xbox account and if it is try to linked again or contact Bethesda support

I had this exact same issue on Xbox series S,

It was solved by linking my Bethesda account and Xbox account;

This allowed me to open the creators club section on the main menu, then hit Y to download all.
