My back panel mic isnt working

I have a question so i hope someone can help me. So normaly i use my front panel for my headset but my front panel doesnt work anymore. So i wanted to use the back panel. but is does pick up my headset but not my mic. can someone help me with this

front panel mics these days are 2 in one, on the rear you need a splitter, pink and green to one connector for your headset, they are cheap online.

May I know if the problem persists no matter what headset / microphone did you connect to the PC?

If that's the case, may I know if you tried reinstalling your sound card driver to see if that helps? (Check the manufacturer website for this)

Or, what did you tried so far to fix this problem
In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

Thank you for the help but i already fixed it. there was a missing cable i did not have for my motherboard and i have it now

Hey, instead of this problem only happening in fortnite, my the xbox isnt picking up any sound but has been working fine for several months. My mic monitering is working like always, it relays sound back to me of its too loud, but the xbox isnt sensing
any audio at all from the mic.
